
Marjorie Clifton
Director of Special Projects
Marjorie Clifton is Director of Special Projects and helping to build, lead and organize the team at America’s Voice. She is also working closely with partner organizations and the four pillars campaign to create an unbeatable, unified initiative for comprehensive immigration reform.
As a communications consultant in Washington DC, Marjorie has led and managed media, messaging and public relations strategy for political organizations, members of Congress, Fortune 100 corporations, NGO’s and non-profits. Her clients and projects have included Verizon, Booz Allen Hamilton, the Federal Reserve, NASA, Dell Computers, the Nature Conservancy, the Papal Visit in 2008 and General Motors.
With over 12 years of international on-camera and media experience, she has also worked as a spokesperson representing numerous clients and campaigns. She has also been called on by national media as a political commentator, lecturer and editorial writer. Marjorie’s involvement and passion for immigration issues began growing up in Houston, Texas where she worked with immigrant communities of Hispanics and Vietnamese. Since, she has counseled numerous immigration related groups on messaging strategy and grassroots organization. Marjorie received her bachelor's degree in Communications and Spanish from the University of Texas and her master's in theater from Drama Studio London. She is currently a volunteer and board member with a number of political and social justice focused organizations including American University’s Women in Politics Institute and Catholics In Alliance for the Common Good.
