Policy Director
Greg Staff is the Policy Director at America’s Voice, serving as a liaison to Congress and policy groups in Washington, DC. Prior to joining America’s Voice, Greg worked in the office of Congressman Luis V. Gutierrez (D-IL) as Senior Legislative Assistant, staffing the Congressman on the House Judiciary Committee and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus as well as handling foreign affairs, defense, energy and environment issues. Whether it was staffing the Congressman during the battle over the anti-immigrant Sensenbrenner bill in 2005 or as part of a legislative team during the push for comprehensive immigration reform in 2006 and 2007, Greg has been on the front lines in Congress trying to achieve fair and just changes for America's immigrant community. Before working in Congressman Gutierrez' office, he worked at the Nature Conservancy assisting conservation programs throughout Latin America and the Caribbean; he also worked as a civics and government instructor for high school students at the Close Up Foundation. Greg, a native or Arlington, VA, is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is the son of Panamanian immigrants.
