WATCH: Times Square Video Campaign Asks, “Do I look illegal?”
According to their Boycott Intolerance website, the major Latino advocacy group NCLR has raised the funds needed to inform “millions of people who pass through Times Square each day about the dangers of Arizona’s new immigration law,” SB 1070.
They explain:
This new PSA from NCLR was produced in response the Arizona's SB 1070, which makes Latinos suspect in their own communities and potential victims of racial profiling.
Watch the video they’re running in Times Square for the next 72 days:
They are still seeking donations to cover the cost of the project, arguing:
Please consider donating what you can to keep this video running in Times Square. No amount is too small! Together we can spread the word to millions and raise awareness about how harmful this law is for the Latino community and for our country as a whole.
Here’s hoping the mainstream media will cover this effort fully – of course, it’s unlikely unless the Tea Party shows up to protest the “Latino KKK.”
