The top story in the Spanish-language press today is Saturday’s march in Phoenix protesting Arizona law SB 1070. Criticism of the Obama administration from Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) and a top Spanish-language newspaper and reports on how Arizona’s Latinos are preparing for SB 1070 to go into effect also make the news.

AZ protest. Media group ImpreMedia’s website breaks the news that Senator John McCain (R-AZ) cancelled a presentation at a town hall meeting due to a protest outside his offices affiliated with the main march. Activists chanted “You can run, but you can’t hide!” AOL Latino posts a dispatch by Maribel Hastings, reporting from the scene of the action, who reflects on the anxiety SB 1070 has provoked among Hispanics.
