Potential RNC Chairman Saltsman Thinks “The Star Spanglish Banner” is a Hit
Chip Saltsman, one of the leading contenders to fill the RNC Charimanship, brings us yet another anti-people-of-color gem. Yes, the same guy who brought you "Barack the Magic Negro" (remember how well that worked out?) is at it again, as Melissa Merz notes:
Possible RNC Chairman Chip Saltsman has gotten a lot of attention for including "Barack The Magic Negro" (which Simon wrote about here) on a CD he sent to RNC members as a Christmas gift. What has gotten a little less attention is an equally compelling song included on the CD, the "Star Spanglish Banner."
Watch the video (where did Chip's Youtube fan get this imagery?):
Turns out the potential RNC Chairman gets his kicks from making fun of people of color- and demonizing immigrants.

This stuff doesn’t bother me anymore. In fact, I am happy to have this stuff continue. They are doing more harm to THEMSELVES than to anybody else. Everyone is on to them now. I have been a Peace and Justice activist since the 60’s and I did not think I would ever feel this way, but the past year’s events have really turned things around. I also work in Election Protection and know, from all the research into our elections that has gone on since 2000, that this country has been solidly democratic for at least the last 20 years and probably longer, our elections just haven’t reflected it, because the Republicans have actually been stealing elections for that long! When you take the disenfranchisement that happened in this past election into account, Obama actually won with more like 82% of the ACTUAL vote. This is especially FANTASTIC given the fact that Republican lies and smears OBVIOUSLY did not work this time around.

This is in the 21st century. he wouldn’t say it if he did not have a solid base of supporters liking his kind of humour
