More on Moms for Family Unity Campaign...
Now more than ever, and at a time that deportation levels are increasing under the Obama Administration, the Moms for Family Unity campaign aims to bring together mothers and their children at house parties throughout the country where they could share their stories and begin a dialogue on the importance of keeping families together by passing immigration reform legislation this year.
Marjorie Clifton, of America’s Voice had this to say about the campaign:
It is our hope that mothers everywhere will be able to come together on this important issue and understand the struggles of motherhood are universal. It is unacceptable that any mother anywhere has to worry about her family being separated. Especially in a country like ours that prides itself on the value of family.
We had a conversation with Paola Mendoza, Director of the film about the campaign and the urgency for the Obama Admnistration to take action on immigration reform. Listen to the podcast hosted Center for American Progress, Progreso Al Día:
